The Tic-Tac Man Song

He has a theme song?
If you could call it that. Some idiot who thinks he’s smart wrote a song about him!
Why do you hate the guy who wrote it?
Because he thinks he is so cool. He got all the facts wrong. The Tic-Tac Man is indeed not a lead singer in a band, not a superhero, nerver almost drowned in a lake, and the Lochness Monster certainly did NOT EVER MISTAKE HIM FOR FOOD. This song is a total lie, and it upsets me. And don’t get me started on the music video…
Oh, and the bassist is terrible!
Where can I listen to this horrid song which you speak of?

You can listen, and you can download the song in the box.net widget in the sidebar over this way.——>
Make sure your sound is on when listening to it.
It takes a few seconds to start, so don’t turn your sound to far up.

TREE HUGGERS: LOVERS OF NATURE, OR SAVAGE BEASTS???

beatledude wrote an interesting post today on
Here’s a quick excerpt
Who are tree huggers?
Lovers of nature? NO! In a recent study, I’ve learned that tree huggers are really savages!
All trees are known to tree huggers as “Sadie”. When tree huggers hug Sadie, they are actually sucking the life out of them!! How rude!! It has also been found that tree huggers are working with vegetarians to destroy the rainforest!
What should we do??
Don’t support people who SAY that they love the environment, because they’re most likely a tree hugger. Find your own ways to save the environment! Become a carnivore and boycott vegetarians! This will destroy some of the tree hugger’s main supporters! Also, you can spread egg yolks around trees. Tree huggers are alergic to eggs. It might not make our world the most beautiful place, but hey, who said conserving the environment was easy?
My mom just came in. She’s already given in to tree hugger interogation. […]

According to the Barbados Government Website the incidence of cervical cancer in the Caribbean is increasing at a rate of 33 new cases annually. It seems that this is a very unflattering statistic which is four or five times higher than that of North America. Last year Dr Eltora Bennett, an obstetrician and gynaecologist reported that the cases of cervical cancer were not declining. She urged the women to engage in early screening, what is commonly referred to as the getting a ‘pap smear’ to protect against cervical cancer.

Bennett explained that despite the easy access to pap smears “we have been seeing about 30 cases of cancer of the cervix per year and that has been constant now” for more than a decade. Cancer of the cervix is a sexually […]

NYT:
NEW DELHI — Is Bollywood ready for Snoop Dogg?
The rapper once dubbed “America’s Most Loveable Pimp” by Rolling Stone makes his debut in India this summer, with a guest appearance on the title track of a highly anticipated Bollywood movie, “Singh Is Kinng.” The movie is set to open in August, but the title song is already in heavy rotation on some radio stations in India.

A fusion of hip-hop and bhangra with a simple chorus (“Singh is Kinng, Singh is Kinng, Singh is Kinng”), it features Snoop Dogg giving “what up to all the ladies hanging out in Mumbai” and rapping about “Ferraris, Bugattis and Maseratis.”…
…“I really dig how much music is infused with the movies” in Bollywood, Snoop Dogg said in an e-mailed response to questions. “Lots of hip-hop tracks sample Indian music, and a lot of their music sounds like it was influenced by hip-hop,” he said. “We’re […]

Deja Vu

Here’s a quick excerpt
I suppose this is nothing to brag on, but I note that our esteemed presidential candidates are now calling for a desurge of our troops in Iraq and a resurge to Afganistan, or maybe even Georgia.  Regular readers of my blog will take note that I put forth that same game plan, er, military strategy, in September of 2007.  Did they give me credit for it?  Nooooooo.
Speaking of that, our president interrupted his loooooong vacation for a moment to rattle swords at Russia for invading Georgia.  Sobering thought: I wonder if he realizes that this Georgia is actually a country in Europe, and not the US southern state near where GW fought the vietnam war?
And whatever happened to VP Chaney?  Seems like he took his secret energy policy and retired to an undisclosed location.  Are we still paying his salary?  Wouldn’t you love to know what went on in that […]

In a statement to be released on its Web site later this affair, the Central Intelligence Agency has officially responded to charges in the current Ron Suskind bestseller, “The Way of the World,” related to the agency taking part in falsifying evidence related to WMD in Iraq.
Suskind has responded strongly to earlier denials by the CIA, referring to on-the-record taped interviews with CIA personnel and other evidence. He recently posted part of a transcript of an interview with the CIA’s former Deputy Chief of Clandestine Operations Robert Richer. A congressional committee is looking into the matter.
Here is the full CIA statement, received by E&P, to be released shortly.

In his book, “The Way of the World,” author Ron Suskind makes some serious charges about the CIA and Iraq. As Agency officers current and former have made clear, those charges are false. More than that, they are not in keeping with […]

Russian Forces Organize an ‘Ecological Catastrophe’ in Georgia

pbtt wrote an interesting post today on
Here’s a quick excerpt
Vienna, August 22 – In addition to the Russian army’s destruction of lives, housing and infrastructure in Georgia, Moscow has “organized an ecological catastrophe” by setting aflame a centuries-old forest in the Borzhomi nature reserve and blocking efforts to fight it, according to a Georgian now living in Israel who returned to his homeland to help his native land.
In a comment first posted in the Russian blogosphere and then featured on Baku’s Ethnoglobus.com portal, David Tsikarishvili, the 66-year-old owner of the Kangaroo Restaurant in Jerusalem, described in detail the various horrors he has seen over the last two weeks (www.ethnoglobus.com/?page=full&id=346).
